Burak Özdemir and designer Daniel Mulder are creating an extraordinary exhibition in the Chretzeturm, which is otherwise only used by artists as a guest stay. The exhibition is an architectural tour of four installations through all floors of the building. On an audiovisual level, visitors can experience the ensemble’s personal experiences during self-isolation. The entire work overlaps with Özdemir’s latest work “Bach Opium”, which was premiered on May 15, 2021 at the Schaffhausen International Bach Festival in Kammgarn West. „Bach Opium“ is dedicated to „Capital“ by Joseph Beuys. The entire work reacts to both delicate and intense improvisations and creates a bridge between the inner world of the musician and everyday life segments. Together these elements form a new symphony. With this artwork the Chretzeturm is opened to the public for the first time as part of the International Bach Festival in a co-production with the Ensemble Musica Sequenza Berlin.
